SKYWATCH--the grasshopper who came in from the heat

It's hot, hot, hot here, and next week it's supposed to be in the high nineties-low hundreds.   Too hot for the city.

I found this grasshopper on a tea kettle next to my air conditioner....too hot for him outside, but that's right back where I put him; on my window sill.

Maybe you ought to visit Florida to cool off! :) Nah, it's pretty hot here, too, and it's been raining most every day so it's quite humid.

This is a really nice shot - I like how sharp it is! Kudos to you!

  My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
