Beside the market
Belgrade has always had its share of sidewalk sellers, ranging in age from young to old, selling brand-new, slightly-used, or articles recycled from a dumpster. I'm now seeing more and more of these people, and I always browse and will buy some trinket that catches my eye to help them out, even if I pass it on to someone else.
Times are hard.

Hmmm, that's something that we don't see much of here.
It's a rough way to stay alive. Glad you help out.
Not that I'm religious but see Matthew 26:11. We have plenty of poor or homeless people here but you don't see them selling things. They beg, often holding signs at busy intersections describing their misery. Sigh.
Playing catch-up here for the past few days. Re this one: Good for you for helping those who try to help themselves.
