Good ol' regular mail

I remember getting mail in a mailbox like these when I was a kid.  Now there are those plastic holders for newspapers, but back when I was little, the newspaper just got thrown on your porch...or not.  And no cellophane on it either!

We see them in the countryside here, along with the rural mailboxes, but mostly here newspapers are put up on the porch or between doors.

In many suburban areas and in rural minnesota, there are many very creative mailboxes lining roads. The ones in your photo are color coordinated and have great eye appeal!

Always exciting to run to the end of the driveway to check the mailbox. Oh, and hunt all over the yard, porch and driveway for the newspaper.
