THE DRAGONS OF MY CHILDHOOD

There is only one brass dragon shown here, but I have two of these candle holders. They belonged to my great-grandmother.

This post is for DRAGONSTAR, who often comments on my blog and with whom I've made contact.

MULTITASKING

Resting from rollerblading, drinking coffee, reading, and texting....  Did I miss anything?

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY---butterfly, dunno what kind

It was an early warm spring day when I 'captured' this pretty butterfly and his shadow.

WEEKEND IN BLACK AND WHITE--I don't want your bag

Snapped this lady from quite a distance. She'd just gotten off the bus and is still clutching her bag....

I didn't want to take her bag; just her photo, and I got that.

SKYWATCH--speed kills

Of course this car didn't fly  into this wall, but speed is a big problem here. Like not wearing masks, drivers flaunt the speed limits mercilessly...

NOODLES AND STUFF

People here like to buy homemade noodles rather than brand names in a store. The seller here was shy, but she's got quite an assortement of various types of doughy things...

SO MUCH FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING

The top photo was taken with my phone while I was walking my dog the other day. Not a mask in sight, and social distancing has gone down the drain.

The sheep in the bottom photo, taken on a recent out-of-town trip, do a much better job of staying apart.

REGAL

One of my sneaky slanted street shots. I pretended I was playing with my phone while discreetly clicking the shutter. If she did indeed notice me, she didn't say anything. The dog either.

MONDAY MURALS--A Vespa is 'all you need'

I wish I had a garage where I could park a bike or Vespa without worrying it would get stolen. On the other hand, Belgrade traffic is so bad now that biking would be unsafe.

So I'll content myself with photos of Vespas, for example.

This post goes out to former CDP blogger, Chuck Pefley of  Seattle, who had a red one.

DINING IN DECADENCE

I have always wanted to dine at Paris's lavish restaurant Le Train Bleu, in the Gare de Lyon. Yesterday I did, and it was fabulous.
