BLOWN-UP

 I think this is an egret, but whatever it is, the quality of the photo is pretty darn good, seeing as how I took the photo under it with only a 50mm lens at quite a distance.

BELGRADE BROWNSTONES

 I never noticed these buildings before, but it's probably because I had passed by when the trees were loaded with leaves.  These buildings remind me of the brownstones in New York City.

NOT DRAGONS' TAILS

 This monument stands on the main square in the town of Ruma, about 64 kms from Belgrade, in the province of Vojvodina. Drove up there the other day to meet a friend.

These are not dragons' tails as I thought. The monument's is called "Monument of the Revolution" and these are trumpets, representing the seventh Vojvodina Brigade rushing to battle during WWII in 1944.

SKYWATCH AND REFLECTION--St. Mark's Cathedral in the Television Building

 This post is a double-header, since I am using this photo for SKYWATCH and for James' WEEKEND REFLECTIONS.

Here we see the reflection of St. Mark's Cathedral in the Serbian Television Building against a cloudy deep-blue sky.

TEXTING AT HOTEL MOSKVA

 It was 11 a.m.  This man had just finished a glass of white wine and an espresso, and now took to his phone.  And I to my camera. (I did NOT have white wine or wine of any color, haha.)

CALESTHENICS WITH HIKING STICKS

Came across these ladies with their coach in what is referred to as Lower Kalemegdan Park, under the fortress that you can see here.

Participants use their hiking sticks as part of their routine. Not a bad idea...

WATCHING OVER THE BOTANICAL GAEDEN

 These two, with matching statues on the other side of the entrance, watch over Belgrade's Botanical Garden. Looks like they've been picking a bit, too.

MONDAY MURALS--talking, texting, and a strawberry

 Cafes here are now open, inside and out with the former having limited seating, but before that you just had to  grab a bench where you found one.
