THEME DAY--workers

This certainly is a happy crew of workers.  Can't remember exactly where they were or what they were doing, since this is from my archives.  Added to my recent bout of autumn illnesses was stomach flu over this past weekend, so....

I am now up and reasonably about.

I had to resist the temptation of running my palm over this man's head....it would be so pleasantly fuzzy-feeling, I think.

ABC WEDNESDAY--- "T" is for "thankful"

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US. As usual, I'm celebrating on the weekend, since today is not a holiday here.  This man is certainly thankful for the dinars he managed to collect today....a reminder that we should all be thankful for what we have, each and every day.

Beside the market

Belgrade has always had its share of sidewalk sellers, ranging in age from young to old, selling brand-new, slightly-used, or articles recycled from a dumpster.  I'm now seeing more and more of these people, and I always browse and will buy some trinket that catches my eye to help them out, even if I pass it on to someone else.

Times are hard.

One of the apartments across the way is painted orange inside...makes for lovely nighttime light and a shadow or two....couldn't resist.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS--kitty in the window

I was concentrating so hard to get the cat before it hopped away that I never noticed the reflection of the building across the street until I uploaded the photo. Kitty looks a bit wide-eyed....  I think it spotted Bibi, who was with me.

Another archived shot; still on the mend.  Kalemegan's clock tower, flanked by a flag and a guard house.  This was taken with my little Minox Digital Classic Camera that you can read about right here.

I've posted some other photos from it before, and if you go to my blog's search box on the upper left of my blog and type in Minox, they should come up.  A fun little camera that often gives a retro look to photos.
