SKYWATCH--southwestern Serbia

Well, I'm back, and none too soon. Haven't posted since July....  So many things were going on, and I just needed a break.

Two weeks ago I took a trip through southwestern Serbia and encountered some stunning landscapes, many of which were taken from a moving vehicle...

I've lost my blojo....

I was going to write that I've lost my mojo, but didn't even have a photo to illustrate it, so I googled.

Came up with 'blojo' instead, which is defined above.

I doubt if I've lost it completely, but more likely misplaced it...  Partly due to still organizing my endless India photos, and I am one of those people who likes to finish one job, then move on...

So bear with me. Yankee will return at some point, with a refreshed blojo.

Back in India

Well, physically I am not in India, but feel like it....I'm still organizing photos.

No Belgrade sky today; this is the sunset on the evening I still had miles to go before I sleep on the way to Leh, in Ladakh region, India.

Take-off to The Big Apple

Today Air Serbia, in cooperation with Ethihad Airlines, begins its new route to (and from!) New York City and Belgrade, five times a week.

Maiden flight is today with a select group of passengers, including the Ambassador of the United States.

Colors

Took a walk the other day through  Belgrade's Bohemian quarter, and these colors caught my eye.

Eight feet

Attended a performance by some students from the international school where I used to work.  Afterwards, participants were presented with awards.

Some fancy feet, some casual!  ;)

India means color to me, but this photo seems right in black and white.  In the autonomous province of Ladakh, India, on my recent trip.

SKYWATCH--lake cruise in Srinagar, Kashmir, India

Another flashback to my recent trip to India. Sloooowly touching up my photos, almost as leisurely as this fantastic cruise I took on Lake Dal in Srinagar, state of Kashmir, India.  I stayed in one of the houseboats you see in the background and took this four-hour cruise in a small, flat-bottom and elaborately decorated shikara.

And yes, those are my feet.

They're back....and hungry.

Last year I posted this photo of a dinosaur exhibit in Kalemegdan, and they're back again, and still hungry, or so it would appear.

I like how the lady's bandana echoes the colors of the dinosaur she's touching up.

ABC WEDNESDAY--"W: is for "Why?"

Why indeed, would anyone deface a beautiful building like this, or any building for that matter?
