JUST TWO WOMEN

 That's what the title says and that's what it is.

CARPE DIEM

 Carpe diem means 'Seize the day,' or by extension, 'the opportunity.' I seized my day and my opportunity. It was so beautiful, sunny, and warm the other day that I bought myself a popsicle and sat down on a bench downtown.

Looking up, I saw this worker in the art gallery on the second floor across from me who was seizing his opportunity to do some stretching and neck exercises.

Carpe diem.

COUNTING HIS MONEY

 I was intrigued by this man's staff and wish I could have gotten a better look at it. He had quite a wad of bills, too, but not too visible here.

JUST PRETTY

Spring came late this year, but here it is.

 And he saw me, too, but what could he do, trapped in that tram....

LET NO EVIL ENTER

 I love seeing these  MASCARONS on buildings. Originally they had the purpose of scaring evil away, but now they are purely decorative...or so they say.

HALVA, ANYONE?

 When I was a kid, I read MAD Magazine faithfully.  I soon became aware that halva, a type of confectionery originating from Persia was often referred to. I now googled and can't find a reason, but it was so. That said, it was years before I ever tried halva. Crumbly and sweet, and I like it, though hardly ever buy any.

STACKED CHAIRS

 These chairs at a local ice cream shop caught my attention. I hope it will be warm enough soon to enjoy some ice cream while sitting on them.

ONLY GRANNY IS AWARE

 Yes, only Granny is aware of her surroundings. Bless her, even if she did see me.

AT THE HORSE BUTCHER'S

 Horse meat is consumed in many countries in Europe, including here in Serbia, although I know of no one who eats it. I took this photo from way across the street with my 16-50 mm lens at 50 mm, and it turned out pretty well.  This shop sells other meats, too.

I think this dog would eat horse meat...and any other.

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY--across the Danube

 Took this a few weeks ago while having dinner at Belgade's newest 'in' place, Beton Hala, which means 'Concrete Hall,' the hall meaning an area inside a factory, usually having glass walls and with machines within.  As you might guess, these 'halls have been revamped as chic restaurants and bars.
