Dogs on Thursday "Waiting for a bite"

It's getting cold....and I guess the fish are still biting. I think both the man and the dog are waiting for a bite here. And speaking of bites, Happy Thanksgiving to you who celebrate. I do, but only this Saturday, since I don't have off today.

If you'd like to join Dogs on Thursday, click on the icon in the left column. Woof.

That lovely cold photo just HAS to be black and white!

I'm amazed that the English language has stretched that far. (Re yesterday's comment).

And there are alternative spellings for SA(R)SPARELLA! I wondered if anyone would notice the drink label!

HOW did you get this shot? The background looks ....well I don't know. the man and dog so clear. It's amazing. I will eat dressing/stuffing for you tomorrow! I have missed you. Hope you are doing well.

Funny, I was going to write what Suz wrote: your phto looks like a postcard. I like it very much. Thank you for your comment on my other blog. I talked with Wilder and his adorable wife. His books have not been turned into French. He told me to get in touch with his publisher, which I did. I am waiting for their answer. Maybe I will write to him directly if they don't answer........
Have a great Thanksgiving Day.

This photo looks timeless too! Beautiful & perfect in B&W.
Wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope you have a nice plump turkey to bake. We lived in Switzerland for 1 1/2 & had to search for a turkey to bake - it was fun to improvise on things like cranberry sauce.

Marvellous image. The man and dog really pop out of the image. I could sit and look at this all day.

This looks like an older photo than it really is. The city in the background looks like it could be out of the 1940s, easily. Well captured! And Babooshka is right - the dog and man pop right out of the photo!

Oh, I wanted to tell you I love the new photo on your blog's header. It's beautiful as well as festive.
