Happy Birthday

Josip Broz "Tito" was born on May 7th but celebrated his birthday on May 25th after he became president of Yugoslavia. His birthday was institutionalized as the Day of the Youth in the former Yugoslavia. I took this fellow's photo the other day on Branko's Bridge. I've seen him many, many times all over the city, and he's a bit of a legend here. I haven't been able to find anything about him, but next time we meet, I'll see if I can get him to stop.

I remember 25 Maj really well. I think we carried 'штафетy' thru the country (I accompanied the runner during his short stretch in 5th grade) to be delivered to Tito on his birthday. Great photo, full of motion and one person's dedication.

I always remember Tito with crosswords puzzles. He seems to appear many times in puzzles here.

This man reminds me of a man called "billboard man" who would often go around with provoking billboards near politicians. He once smashed one of his billboards to one who was involved in a corruption scandal.

I agree with Marley, I am waiting to hear the story! :)

And btw, the name of Josip Broz Tito have a good reputation here also here in Indonesia.... I remember, his name was taught in my history class when I was in 5th grade!

Sounds like Tito was quite popular. This guy certainly is a supporter of his memory.

I'm with Marley—stop this fellow, if you can, and make him tell you his story!

I actually know this guy. He lived in Kruševac dor quite some time, and we all wondered what happened to him after the NATO bombarding. I think his name's Dušan, and people in Kruševac all know him as "Kruškica" (little pear).

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
