The Fate of Old Woodies

Following up to yesterday's photo, here is an old woodie, albeit quite adapted to its new purpose of advertising a seafood restaurant. It's missing the wooden panels on its side, but the surfboard on its roof is a wooden one! I saw very few vintage woodies when in this area of California, but I'm sure they're out there....

The really cool, well-preserved ones were probably all bought by Jay Leno. You're finding treasures in lots of Calif. parking lots!

Looks like it might be a '53 Pontiac. Lovely!
