Following up to yesterday's photo, here is an old woodie, albeit quite adapted to its new purpose of advertising a seafood restaurant. It's missing the wooden panels on its side, but the surfboard on its roof is a wooden one! Following up to yesterday's photo, here is an old woodie, albeit quite adapted to its new purpose of advertising a seafood restaurant. It's missing the wooden panels on its side, but the surfboard on its roof is a wooden one! I saw very few vintage woodies when in this area of California, but I'm sure they're out there....

PICKLED RED ONIONS
My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I. Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
