One year ago today my loving and much-loved husband passed away. I can't believe the year has gone so fast, and that the pain has lessened so little. I imagine it never will.
This photo is from all of my family to him whom we loved more than anything. He's shown here on a beach in La Push, Washington, on his last trip to the US two years ago.
Ivan, we love you still and forever.

As a Washingtonian, now living in Belgrade, who lost a loved one (a father) many years ago .. easier isn't the right word but things do adjust over time. Love lives, and life evolves.
So sorry for your loss and all the best.
A touching, poignant and loving tribute!
warm thoughts going out to you and your kids today.
Very touching, "Bibi". My thoughts are with you and yours.
Nothing to say but sending hugs.
What a beautiful tribute. I'm thinking of you and your kids and hoping your loving memories of Ivan are sustaining you today.
Great photo! I want to shout Hi! Ivan. I'm mourning the loss of a good friend.
From your NY "family".
Such a valuable picture Bibi, big hugs.
Bibi, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. What a beautiful picture of your beloved.
My condolences. Two years ago on the very same day (Aug 22) my father passed away.
It is a heavy sorrow you must carry. I know La Push and can imagine standing there viewing this scene. But you have the photo and a memory of a happy time.
Time passes but the pain remains, i guess we just start to live with it.
Sending you a cyber hug and thinking of you and your children today.
Beautiful memory. The ache never does leave when you lose part of your soul. My arms reach out to you.
I'm so grateful to have met you, through your blog. I'll bet your husband was even more grateful :) Thanks so much for sharing this photo with us. I hope the next year is a little easier.
So sorry and my condolences even now. its so hard to loose the ones we love so much.
This is such a moving post, Bibi. You wrote beautiful words and show a wonderful photograph. It's hard to believe it's one year already. You have been incredibly brave, getting on with life - as we have to - even travelling. He'd be so proud of you. The love you and your family shared is precious.
What a beautiful wonderful picture and tribute to your dear husband!
I can only add to the many thoughts and cyber hugs above. Delightful portrait of a much loved one no longer with you. That wave is straight form above.
Such a beautiful, wild background for that walk with you and the pups in La Push. I love seeing his wave to you. This is a dear photo and lovely tribute to your beloved. May fond remembrance bring you a sense of his love with you still.
