ABC Wednesday "M" is for "mixed-up mounting"

This little girl was most surprised when she found herself sitting backwards on this pony. I watched her mount, with the help (!) of the man. She didn't seem to mind, and the man led her for one tour around, after which she opted for the traditional way to sit in the saddle!

This reminds me of our walk in Tas. Hope to do it again, next time with Bibi :)

So funny! Is this what they mean when they say ass-backward? Perhaps, being new to horseback riding, she wanted a way to exit quickly - and it's hard to slide up a horse's neck... :-)

The first thing that sprang to mind was Dick Trom, a Dutch children's book character. He sat on a donkey the wrong way round for some silly reason!

Thank you for the smile and remembrance you brought. I now want to get hold of the books again as well.

How nice that the man and the horse were so accommodating. The little girl will remember this adventure forever!

Sometimes you have to see where you have been to know where you are going.

Nothing like being in the right place at the right time with your camera! Great shot.

I suppose you need to know where you've been before you can see where you're going...

Laughing - that would be the line of least resistance, wouldn't it? A wonderful capture!

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
