Skywatch Friday---Saint Sava

Not a fabulous sky, but I like this photo, since it is a hand-held one that turned out! This is a statue of Saint Sava, standing in front of the large Serbian Orthodox church which bears his name. Please click on the link for more info about him!

I like this photo too. Saint Sava looks like he's made out of chocolate.

"Active cemetery" sounds like the title of a zombie movie. :)

That's an excellent sky for that image! Saint Sava and the church appear to glow. You must have been very steady to get that without a tripod. Awesome capture!

Not easy to get such a great handheld image at night—you should be proud of this black sky backdrop!

You should be proud of this shot! It's quite magnificent, especially being hand-held. You must have be very strong and have great self-control. This is super sharp!

James, you're right! He DOES look like he's made of chocolate...I should have checked him out up close....hmmmmm.

Alexa, I steadied myself by leaning against a post and also pumped up the ISO!

Sure is a better result than I can get for a night shot.

Bibi, I've passed along the "Best Blog Award" to you. Been having a great time getting to know you. Feel free to stop by and pick it up.

Bibi, I absolutely LOVE this shot, especially for the colors. The sky seems almost navy blue and looks so splended with the color of the statue and the stained glass behind him and that soft white and peach on the church. I love seeing all the bells, too and wonder if they are played one by one to make a melody or all together as a cacophony. The church is beautifully lit and your shot wonderful.

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
