"Zima" (ZEE-ma) means "winter," and it's not over yet! I came across these beautifully embroidered gloves last Sunday in Kalemegdan Park where there are lots of souvenir sellers. It was then a bit warmer and sunny, but as they say here when it's sunny and sort of warm in the winter, "The sun has teeth."
I like the darker gloves with the purple flowers. Which pair would you choose?

That's hard to choose. I really like them all. Beautiful workmanship. Great choice for the letter Z. I learned something new too.
The red/purplish ones, I guess.
I'm with you, love the black ones with the purple flowers! What a great, colorful shot Bibi, for the Z day! and I learned a new word! Have a good week!

I love the tan ones with what looks like flowers. Or the black ones with the white vines. Hm. Can I have both pairs?
They are all very pretty, but I like the lighter color with the birds : )
These are very attractive. I'd guess, though, they are for female hands. My guess is that Lois Anne would choose the pink one.
I would choose none, since it's just not suitable in my hot and sunny country! lol
Those are lovely gloves. I'd choose the tan/beige ones because they'd match my fleece lined winter Crocs. :0
Omigosh, those gloves are GORGEOUS! I'd choose the beige ones with the tiny florals - they'd go perfectly with my chocolate brown wool winter coat.
I like that saying about the sun having teeth.
I'll take a pair like yours ... lovely colors.
Zima, zima, nije mraz, e, pa šta je…
Great Z! Serbian has so many good Z words. Good pick for the season.
I do like the black ones best & the cross-stitch ones for the nostalgic feeling.
Great job in capturing the colours.
I like the purple ones too but how would we manage with all those tassles. I know someone (!) who would bite those off in no time! Woof woof.
Oh silly me. Concentrate Jilly! I now see the darker ones and they are lovely. I was looking at the burgundy ones. Someone needs to explain to me the difference between burgundy and dark...duh!
Phew, I hope it's not too cold there, I'd choose the dark blue gloves, how much are they?
These are the prettiest gloves I've seen in a long time! I just love them! I would choose the black ones with the flowers:)
My word verification is "rested" !
Those are my favourite gloves too! I would love a pair of them. I also like the red ones with the fringes, but I'm not sure how practical they'd be!
Z is a hard one, so lucky you to speak a language with so many Z words. These gloves are beautiful, and I guess a few of us would be fighting over the ones with the purple flowers!
Great post, Bibi and beautiful work - both the artisan and the phtotgrapher! I like the green and white pair, but they're not very practical for me because I get white so dirty in winter.
I also like the Serbian saying, the sun may have teeth ... but winter is nothing to be afraid of, it is not a lion.
Like that expression, the sun has teeth. Lovely photo, Bibi!
I like the white ones with the big flowers on them! But then again, they remind me of a table cloth I have that has big pink flowers cross-stitched around the hem, that a Serbian friend made. They are all beautiful..thank you for posting!
These gloves are all so colorful and creative. I like the deep red pair with colored medalions and fringe.
We call it with the same name
They look snug.

I love the pink ones right in front, but I'd probably take the black ones - they match just about everything I own.
The sun has teeth? What a great image.
I would love to have a couple of pairs of those gloves. The patterns are handworked?
