My son and his girlfriend of several years got engaged on New Year's Eve on the Champs-Elysees in Paris! I'm so happy for them, and though they haven't set a date yet, I can hear wedding bells...or at least gypsy brass band music. Check out the postingfrom my daughter's wedding last September. My son was jumping for joy then, so now it's my daughter's turn to jump! :)
P.S. Notice that engagement and wedding rings are worn on the right hand here.
Ooops! See Alexa's comment and mine....

Oh, wow! Very cool, Bibi! Congratulations! Where will this wedding be?
How romantic to get engaged in Paris on New Year's Eve! I remembered the shot in your link—and that you reminded your son that he's next! That ring is really gorgeous, but isn't that her left hand?
Congratulations! What a wonderful event and a beautiful picture to go with it.
Chuck--in Belgrade, so if you're in town...
Alexa--hey, you're right, that is her left hand...will have to check to see if it is worn on her left and then switched. I always wear mine on my left!
Ooops. Am writing too early in the a.m.---I mean I wear mine on my right!
Congratulations from someone who recently discovered your blog (and is absolutely hooked) but never posted a comment and what would be better occasion that this for breaking the ice :)
Congratulations to the young couple. Look forward to this year's wedding pictures.
Paris, New Year's Eve and diamonds. Your son sounds wonderfully romantic. She's a lucky girl. Congratulations to all.
Can't think of a better place to get engaged that anywhere in Paris!
Congrats to the happy couple.
And I thought that was the left hand. But then I have an astigmatism so wasn't sure! ;-)
Oh how fabulous. Fist Alexa and now your son. Love the ring and wish them every happiness. I fell about at the comments over the hand. Do you drive like that - turn right when you mean to turn left?! Ha! I do...
Congratulations on their engagement! What exciting new for your family! I hope you'll show us some photos of the wedding, too!
