Wow, it's Friday already. Here's a zoomed-in shot of the three figures atop the French Embassy in Belgrade, built in 1930, which stands literally a stone's throw away from Kalemegdan Park. They represent 'liberté, égalité, and fraternité.' That's the steeple of Belgrade's Orthodox Cathedral in the background.
My Belgrade blogger buddy, Vlada, (whom I have not met!) was kind enough to send me an easy-to-use High Definition Resolution program that I used on this photo to dramatize it. I still prefer photos 'au naturel,' but for dull days like when I took this photo (when will they end?), enhancement comes in handy.

That is a really fancy building. It's pretty fancy shot too. :)
It's beautiful. I like the gold paint on top and the 3 angels in blue. Happy weekend!
SWF~Blue puffy sky
Great shot for the day! Lovely, colorful building to light up the gray sky! Hope you have a great weekend!

beautiful :)
A fun juxtaposition! It's always nice to try everything which exists even if we don't like it, so we know what people are talking about.
That's a great capture Bibi. And I love the colorful flower header.
Beautiful.

Amazing shot! Gorgeous, Beautiful, Dramatic and also Spiritual!
Pixellicious Photos
I like seeing all the details on the steeple. Wonderful juxtaposition of varying artwork.
Now that's a nice juxtaposition of shapes - great SWF post, Bibi!
Superb shot - love the glistening gold.
pretty fancy shot...when I was child and lived in my homecountry - Brasil- I had some pictures of the building in Belgrade and when I visited there, I ran to the buldings....hahahahahhah

Whatever you're doing, keep doing!
It's interesting how a long lens will compress distance. At first glance I thought this was all one building...
I like the treatment, too. Sure brightens up that steeple. I see shutters on the steeple...I wonder if you can get up there from inside...
the effect works well .. .adds drama to the scene ...
Your blog is a treasure. Both ways: greatest images and the idea to let people know Serbia better. I am in love with colors of your blog.
I thought the dome was on the French Embassy and I was trés confused! Now I see. Like your "souped" up photo.

Love these colors against the somber sky!
A grand photo indeed - love, love the colors! You should meet Vlada for coffee and treats and make it a blog posting! Dare ya! Challenge ya! Bet ya can't do it!
: - )
This is gorgeous. LE&F and the steeple both have a lovely patina. I would like to be opening those shutters and looking out at everything below. . .assuming they open and aren't just air vents :-).
Just today I did my first HDR from 3 bracketed shots I took last summer. Used Photoshop, but I'm not sure I did it correctly. Fun to see it at least worked in lining up all three shots. :-) Glad you had fun with the program your blog buddy sent. It looks very nice indeed.
