Que sera, sera

Some of you may remember the old Doris Day tune 'Que sera, sera,' from Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 film The Man Who Knew Too Much. In English the singer wonders if she'll be pretty or rich, but her mother tells her, 'whatever will be, will be.' I was reminded of the song by this flowerbud, which actually doesn't even need to ask its 'mother' what it will be, since it will turn out just as pretty as she is!

A fine photo! The bud, though, looks like it's not too sure what it will be - to those puckered lips and squinty eye. Cool commentary. And, yes, I remember the song very well and can still see Doris Day singing it!

That's so sweet...The photo on my blog roll immediately drew me in and it seemed tender and nostalgic.
My son likes the song (and has downloaded it) and said knowingly "Doris Day was a good singer".

I've always loved that song. it just seems to make life simpler. It's like "no worries, be happy." Beautiful flower, and the bud will be too.

I thought of that song as soon as I read your title!
Love this flower and bud. They do look like mother and child. Very creative of you to imagine that Bibi.
