Coincidence
I did a double-take the other day while cruising the portal at our mother site when I saw this door, located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn. It certainly is a coincidence, for this door that I'd photographed a few days before in Belgrade's nearby municipality of Zemun looks very similar.

It is pretty amazing how similar they are.
This door looks like it has seen some action!
Same style and full of charm...
I liked the richness of details. An old port can become a beautiful photograph.Great capture.
Greetings from Roberto
en effet deux anciennes portes qui se ressemblent. Une belle vieille porte qui doit avoir une belle histoire
That's a beauty, Bibi. I do love a weathered door.
What a wonderful coincidence--serendipity.
good composition! i like texture!
Looks more like a painting than a photograph.
Wow that is certainly a twin, and Bill is right both look like paintings and I am LOVING the new header shot!!!!
thanks for the link! That is a beautiful old door, and I like the glass too. A bonus
Wow, now I'm thinking of Harry Potter-type of portals. Maybe these doors and those in Brooklyn are connected and one enters a magical world going through them. :-)
If I owned the place, the condition of the doors and transom would drive me nuts, but as a viewer of a photo, they just look beautiful to me. . .the hight of "shabby chic" and distressed allure. Beautiful photo.

I saw that door in Greenpoint, and regretted that I didn't get a chance to photograph it! Yours is equally beautiful.
