Why don't they make facades like this anymore? Now it seems like buildings are all steel, chrome, and glass, which are also beautiful in their own way, but still to me this art nouveau facade downtown is much more attractive.

I couldn't agree with you more! Ditto.
I loved your yummy SUNRISE photo from yesterday!
Bon weekend
Totally agree with you Bibi. Great facade!
Beautiful .. I love architecture with character .. panash .. elan .. not this cold sterile looking glass/steel stuff of the more modern buildings.
Add me to the list of those in total agreement. Guess you're preaching to the choir so far!
Wow, beautiful building. Nice subtle reflections in the windows.
How sad that we do not see this exquisite craftmanship in today's buildings... just exquisite detail (and nice reflections)
Bises,

Gorgeous shot! It is sad that they have stopped making such beautiful facades.
That's wonderful! Great shot too.
I ask myself the same question every time a nice facade catches my eye. I really appreciate the contemporary architects who do pay attention and provide some visual treats like these. Your example is just lovely.
I'd prefer to see this type of architecture than the sleek modern lines. Nice reflections.
what gorgeous detailing?
I much prefer this facade to any glass box...it has such character. So pretty!
The same thing has happened in Canada. Perhaps in the old days skilled workers work for a lot less $$$.
It could be about the cost attached to it too... don't you think?
Gledajući vaše fotografije, često se zapitam: Da li ja zaista živim ceo život u Beogradu? Bibi, fotke su vam sjajne. Zaista mi otkrivate neki novi grad. . .
Hello! Slavoljub, thank you...hvala...nadam se da cete da pratite moj blog.
Nice reflection shot!
Very nice architectural ornements... You did a fine job by taking the picture, and a generous gift by sharing it with us. (I'm very fond of Art Nouveau)
I agree. this is absolutely delightful. How nice it must be to live in this building.
