SKYWATCH FRIDAY - the saved shot.

One of my rules is to never, never, okay almost never, delete a photo in the camera. I was going to junk this one, but didn't. I fiddled with it in Photoshop and here is the result. Not too bad.

See other skies and perhaps some more serendipitous photos at SKYWATCH FRIDAY.

I think this one turned out to be great after all. Your processing skills are fabulous too. I think this is going to be the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on. I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

Dear Readers,

Truthfully, the sky was very, very orange. My problem was that everything else was really dark, and I had liked the silhouette, or so I thought it would be, of the girls. But they were so dark...I used the highlighting feature on Photoshop, that's all, no other color. Weird how the other colors look black and white.

Until I saw this photo, I declined to play with photoshop. You have changed my mind!

That is quite a nice treatment you gave to your romantic sunset.

Save it! I love what you did to rescue this one and the effect is lovely with the blast of sunset creating the silhouettes of your subjects. Artful and definitely a "keeper"!

Beautiful, my girlfriend and I were sat on that very bench two weeks ago at 5am after going to a club in Kalamegden, waiting for the sun to rise. I wish I was there now instead of stuck in the raining UK! 3 weeks and I'll be back though :)

Excellent and it must have been fun working with this picture.

I have the same rule & should probably learn how to use photoshop—look what you were able to do even with, as you say, just a little fiddling. Yup, I love it too.

Love this. You are so right, I never delete before seeing pics on the screen. Many do I know but best not - nice surprises come along if you don't.

Love it. Totally agree with A. Lincoln.

I usually dump 20% of my photos off the camera, and another 30% on my computer. I wish I were even more selective but there you are - you did wonders with this shot so you're right : never delete too quickly !

It is a great shot, very effective. I very nearly deleted one off my camera a week or two back but didn't. I shot towards the sun and it is rather weird the way it came out but I like the effect. I might put it up on Sky Watch this week.

The mix of old and new from the bank of Stari Grad overlooking Novi Beograd complete with a sunrise really puts time into perspective!
