Teetering....

I watched this lady take teeny-tiny teetering steps in these high-heeled platform shoes. She did not seem at ease at all. I know I wouldn't be; one misstep and it's off to the orthopedic clinic.

Lady readers, do you wear or did you use to wear such shoes? And remember the pointed-toe shoes....? Much damage done from those, too.

Oh yes, I did.... but I do not now!

That looks like an "owie" looking for a place to happen!

OMG, just looking at those heels gave me leg cramps. Yet I used to be able to run in 3 inchers.

Tried tottering on 2" occasionally back in my 20's, but after having a baby, I gave up! Why torture your ankles and your toes like that?

Not that high, not that high! And if not worn on a regular basis one has a tendency to loose balance.

Those shoes do look very uncomfortable! Easy to twist an ankle I would guess...

I have a closet full of such shoes for "fancy sitting-down" occasions. I walk around and take public transit a lot so not only do shoes like that slow you down, they are very bad for your feet, calves, knees, hip, and back! I'm still in my 20s but I have never worn heels on a daily basis. Too painful and impractical!

These can't be good. So why do ladies wear them? Scary! And they can't be very comfortable.

Are you kidding? On the other hand, I'm really excited because I found a pair of Sperry Topsiders on sale last weekend (totally comfy the first time you put them on, even w/o socks)!

I wore high heels, but never as stiletto as these. When I was young the rage was pointy toes, and now I rage over the damage to my feet...years later. What price we pay for our youthful transgressions or desire to be fashionable. The fashion world can be very persuasive.

HA! We are on the same wavelength again. No I don't dare wear these anymore. I think the ones I wore long ago have done the damage too.

Funny I should see this post here on Spike Heels ah what memories this brought to me, I was dumb back then to wear such crazy Spiked heels back in the seventies and now in the past five years I have very nice lovely crooked toes with bunions!

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
