THEME DAY--cobblestones

These are my faithful sandals that I showed you once before on the Brooklyn Bridge three years ago. They've trod over many parts of India, the US, and Qatar and are still in pretty good shape. Now they're preparing for another season of pounding the pavement (and cobblestones) of Belgrade.

Update on April 4th, 2012: The portal is back and Theme Day has been extended, so

I have a pair of African sandals that are thick and strong but nowhere near as well-preserved as your sandals, Bibi. Those cobbles are of the new variety, methinks, the ones that are tumbled in a machine rather than allowing water to tumble them through the years. We have such a variety of ways of dressing our roads and our paths.

«Louis» didn't cobble together a theme day post, so he stuck with his Sunday Bridge...

Great! Love the focus on the shoes - old and modern.

I wear sandals a lot here in Florida. But these looks almost new - they must be very well made to have trodden all over the world! Great photo for the theme (which I forgot about!)...

All 5 of us have those same sandals in different colors! We took a few fun photos of our sandal clad feet together! Fun COBBLESTONE photo today! You're showing some toe cleavage, Bibi!

Those shoes were definitely made for walking Bibi! They look like they've got years left in them yet!

I recognized your sandals right away (and I still have the one I wore across the bridge too).

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
