Sunday Bridges--Riverside cafe in Kraljevo

Took a short trip this past weekend to the country to some friends' house located near the city of Kraljevo, located on the Ibar River. The city suffered a major earthquake (5.3)  in November 2010, as a result of which two people were killed and over 100 suffered light injuries. A number of buildings suffered damage, and several hundreds, chiefly older buildings, were rendered unusable.  This river cafe looks a little slanted, though probably not because of the earthquake (!). The fellow on the bridge seems to be keeping his balance.

See other bridges on Louis La Vache's SUNDAY BRIDGES.

Interesting looking place, even if a bit skewed.

Bibi, you can't immagine how much this post made my day! Kraljevo is my hometown, but I haven't been there for a long period. Thank you for bringing me back home!

Great post. Could it be that the river cafe is perfectly straight but the photographer imbibed a bit too much bubbly and thus it appears askew? Heh? ;-))

Love the shot. But it might be a bit unsettling to eat in a place that looks like it will fall over into the water any minute!

Not an easy picture to take; what is straight and what is not?? :-) I don't remember this event...

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
