ABC Wednesday--"G" is for "Goričani"

Another photo from Goričani, where I visited some friends.  On the left are a bottle of homemade plum brandy or rakia, a typical brandy glass, and some local wildflowers.  On the right my friend had made Serbian cornbread (usually with bits of fried bacon and some local cheese).  On the plate is some of that white cheese, and in the red cup is kajmak, a buttery-like spread made from cream skimmed from milk.

And in the middle, what are those two items.....?  I know, but do you?  (Answer on tomorrow's post!)

See other G's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

You made me curious! What are the two items on the middle photo. Are you going to tell us?

Looks like a fun brandy-food-tasting party!

Don't know about the middle thing but it does look familiar. Maybe a back scratcher? Whatever, it doesn't look very safe!

Well, you certainly made me curious about the middle picture.
Love the composition of the other two shots.
Now I am hungry for some of the cornbread.

And the other one, on the right, has to do something with wool or other fibers...

Second guess would be corn related...

My comments came in the wrong order.

Left object is used as a shoulder-supported carrier - with two heavy objects hanging on each side.

correct?

Two lovely still lifes! Is the cornbread anything like our spoon bread?

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
