ABC WEDNESDAY--"V" is for "versus"

I've been negligent in posting since I've been visiting Gaelyn at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I'm now back in Seattle and trying hard to catch up with posts, and eventually visiting your blogs. Many apologies; but it's hard when on vacation!

That said, I learned an awful lot with Gaelyn. I really knew what we call buffalo are in reality bison, but like many fell into the trap of that misnomer. If you want to know about buffalo VERSUS bison, check out this site that explains it all.

From now on then, it's "Oh, give me a home where the bison roam....", "Bison Bill", and "I've been bisoned."

Check out other Vs on Mrs. Nesbitt's ABC WEDNESDAY.

What? Bisons in Seattle? were my first thoughts!
I'll go and check about the differences...

So it should be "Bison Bill" and not "Buffalo Bill!" :-)

You are a very good student. Glad you got to see these hybrid bison/cattle at the North Rim.

I've always thought they're such magnificent animals.

I'd say you had a very good excuse for "disappearing" for a few days. Bet you had a marvelous time!

Have you ever had a bison burger? I hear the meat is delicious and healthier than beef. They are fine-looking creatures in an immense, shaggy kind of way!
