I'm still in Seattle and won't be back in Serbia for a while, but tonight my daughter and family had guests, so I made Serbian-style stuffed peppers.....yum. Only two left out of ten. Nine in the photo; # ten couldn't fit in the pot, so it was baked by itself.

How long till you come and visit??
one of my favourite dish... :)
We call it Dolma in Turkish. Greeks call Gemista.
It has different names all around Balkans but very similar and very nice taste regardless the name.
The dish looks tasty!
I no longer want the sandwich I brought for lunch—I want that!
It looks delicious. My Mom made stuffed peppers and I liked it, but the peppers don't seem to like me. :(
Not fair. . . no recipe!

But keep in mind that this is just one of many recipes, because it is traditional meal, almost every housewife has it's on combination of ingredients. Here in Serbia, it depends from what region you are. For example, the north part of a country (Vojvodina), they like to use fresh paprika, but in the south they prefer using dried paprika, which I find much tastier.
And if you don't have paprika, you can also use tomatoes, even zucchini and fill them with ingedients.
