Warsaw's Eiffel Tower....sort of....
This is Warsaw's palm tree, which has become sort of an icon since its installation in 2002 when it was put up by the Center for Contemporary Art. It was never taken down, and in this respect, is sort of like the Eiffel Tower, which also was to be taken down after the World's Fair in Paris in 1889.

The artist sounds like an interesting person. I thought the palm tree was real too :)
Well, it does appear to be related to our Florida palms but is clearly an imposter! Nevertheless, it is a symbol of sunshine and light and fun! Viva la palm!
