THEME DAY--the beauty of simplicity

Was almost going to do a real April Fool's joke and post a photo of  myself for this month's theme "Beauty in Simplicity", but thought better of it.... ha, ha.

This yellow leaf from last fall works better.

See what others have posted at THEME DAY.

From now until after May 15th, Yankee will be taking a  break, since she is traveling to India again.  If you are friends with me on Facebook, I will try to post some photos now and then.

It stands out beautifully against that red.

Bill is right; the colors are excellent together. I like your April Fool joke and it was also one that I thought of myself but I, too, thought better of it.

That's perfect. The palette couldn't be better.

Have fun in India. Been a long time since we've been there.

A lovely example of simplicity for theme day, and somewhat related to my choice.

That single leaf against the red speaks a lot.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
