There's a story here...

I know I have posted a photo of this wall along Hilandarska Street downtown, but for the life of me I cannot find it. On my search box on my blog I typed in art, love, junk, decorated, etc. but no luck.

All I remember from when I wrote before is that a number of years ago, apparently a young man deposited a small figurine in his (then) girlfriend's mailbox in this building. Apparently she didn't look too often, and the box quickly filled up. The young man decided to keep going, and added items quite frequently on the small ledge on the building.

I don't believe this love story had a happy ending.

Anyway, from time to time frustrated apartment dwellers get tired of this 'mess' and take it down, but it comes right back....

Interesting now to see that discarded masks have been added. A sign of the times.

Who maintains it? Why?

Bob, it seems that the inhabitants of the building, apartment owners, don't complain anymore. There is no real maintenance. Passers-by add stuff from time to time, and perhaps even pinch some, though most of it is really junk.

THE ROOF CAVED IN....

Well, not the entire roof. Just the back side, which is not visible here. Every year I make a gingerbread house. Notice I said 'made,...
