If you're 'over a certain age' or else just someone who likes classic films, you will remember Albert Lamorisse's 1956 film THE RED BALLOON that my mother took me to see when I was little. I later showed it to all levels of my French classes and depending on the children's age, they all saw some different meaning in it.
Worth watching. Only 35 minutes...

OH. I had heard of this film, but never saw it. Thank you.
At some point I've heard of it.
I watched it. Lovely, that was always the Paris I wanted to go to...the 50's, getting over the war and still a bit shabby, but with all those fascinating people there!! De Beauvoir, Sarte, Camus, Juliette Greco, Miles Davis and all the other jazz guys. With the guys in white aprons in the doorways. Ah well.....
Not to mention the movies!!!
