Poppies are not a flower you should pick. They wilt instantaneously. But they're certainly 'brilliant' when still rooted.

Pretty! I can't believe you're already getting poppies in full bloom in April!
I only photograph flowers these days. Used to work with them in our greenhouses for many years.
