The gate and tower on this facade resemble those in nearby Kalemegdan Park, but no explanation anywhere on the building why.

I tried to upload this photo several times, both here and on my account on Flickr. The former said simply 'File cannot be uploaded"...

Scary, but those carvings are impeccable!
It would be nice to know more but it's quite detailed and very distinct!
