A well-fitting beret can protect our heads from the rain and the umbrella protects THEM from the rain. Seen in Lyon, France, and no, I didn't buy one.

I never go anywhere without an umbrella and a rain cape. No beret, though they look very colorful.
I used to own an authentic béret basque, forgot it on a Dublin bus years ago. Sigh... I have a brolly, gathering dust in a corner...
