This is the C.S. Wilke house in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood. It dates from 1898. I love it.
I'll bet the mailman brought the mail directly to their door once-upon-a-time, and didn't place it in the black mailbox to the left of the gate.
I'm still in Seattle for a family issue, which I'm only now beginning to see progress in. So sorry I can't visit you all regularly for the moment. I won't forget you!
Not much of a reflection here, but couldn't resist posting this. Just goes to show you that you should always have your camera ready. Caught these cuties while stopped at a red light. Thank goodness for automatic windows; down mine went and snap, snap. Their owner was only too happy to have these pups pose.
Maybe not the canary, but a finch or a crow or a red-winged blackbird? This beautiful cat lives in Birds Unlimited in Gig Harbor, Washington. He is a rescue cat....what a great place to live for a cat, though I imagine the birds steer clear of him. No birds for sale anyway in the store, just things bird-related like feeders and birdbaths!
I've been letting my hair grow and now I am wearing dangling earrings rather than post ones. I bought this little hand in an Indian shop, but it appears I should have gotten a bigger one...
Am still in the US due to a pressing family matter.
