SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY: the bored florist

Took my camera out for a night walk here in Belgrade, through uncrowded streets.

Not many customers for this florist, but it was late...

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS--LA SAMARITAINE, PARIS

Here's what the Internet says about La Samaritaine: "Founded in 1870, La Samaritaine is an icon of Paris, emblematic of the Second Empire's era and the emergence of this new architectural typology that would revolutionize retail: the department store. What started as a small shop expanded to a series of buildings occupying two urban blocks at one end of Pont Neuf. The architectural monument is the site of an interplay of Art Nouveau and Art Deco elements."

I actually did  not go inside; I preferred to spend my time in Paris outdoors.

SKYWATCH--Le Mirbel

Le Mirbel cafe in Paris, which is also a 'tabac,' where one can still buy matches, lighters, cigarettes.....

THE CHERRY PRINCESS

"WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT?"

This conservatively dressed couple sat on a bench in Saint-Germain-des Pres in Paris, watching passers-by. Like in many big cities, the passer-bys are very often eye-catching. I'll leave it at that.

WRITER'S DISTRACTION

Still in Paris, whereas in reality I am sitting in my apartment in Belgrade, waiting for my COVID confinement to be over.

I'd been discreetly snapping this gentleman from the side. He has a cocktail, a spiffy hat, handkerchief, and was writing with a fountain pen in a moleskin notebook.

I sneaked around a little bit to the front to take a hip shot when this girl flitted out of the cafe and caught his attention.  And mine. Got her photo, too.

MONDAY MURALS--in Belleville

This isn't much of a mural, if one at all, but being confined for another 10 days with COVID, I am desperate.

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY--2CV into the shadow....

Near la Place des Abbesses in Paris, a deux chevaux hangs a right into the shadow of a side street.  I had one of these beauties once-upon-a-time.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS--aux Halles

A reflection of murals at Les Halles, Paris, with Saint-Eustache church appearing on the left.

Am sequestered with a mild case of COVID, so it may be a while until I get back and running here in Belgrade.

SKYWATCH--before dawn from my window

Trying to get back on track since my return from Paris one week ago. I brought back a stowaway....a case of COVID, despite all my precautions here and there, so I am isolating, taking meds, etc. for a week.

So, for the moment until I get my recently revamped big computer up and running, it will be shots from inside my apartment looking out.

Woke up early the other night, feverish, but got this beautiful sky.
