 I am currently outside of Belgrade, not that it mattered so much for this photo of the moon and a star, which to me resemble a moon (where the star is) and a UFO...  Am I fooling you....?

SKYWATCH: Field of Dreams

 I am currently in the Deliblato Sands, where I have come  for two weeks to do a bit of undisturbed writing.  All's going well. Across from my little hotel where I get three of the most mouth-watering classic Serbian dishes you can imagine, lies this soccer field with a small house at the end. I used my phone for this photo, and it came out kind of dreamy.

Black Beetle

 Not a real beetle, of course, but a good old Volkswagen beetle. I had one once, a red one, and wouldn't mind having another.

Someone isn't taking such good care of this baby.

I see ya.

 This little guy was silently watching me pass under 'his' window. I imagine he was admiring my dog's  new harness and color I'd just bought up the street.

Grumpy cat

 I have to thank my friend Mary Jane for snapping this photo of a very grumpy cat. She passed him while going to the bakery and just couldn't resist.

MONDAY MURALS Pop Art

 

There's a high school downtown that has several outstanding murals. They keep changing, though, and I hadn't been back for a while.

This one is to or was done by the graduating class of 1999....quite a while ago. I don't know why it hadn't appeared earlier, but such is the case with a couple more I'll be showing you.

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY: "I'm looking over a four-leaf clover...'

 

...that I overlooked before," as the song goes. As a kid I used to lie in the grass at my grandmother's and look for four-leaf clovers, with varying success.

A fellow dog walker gave this one that she found to me.  Didn't ask her if she had to lie in the grass, and I'm not sure the good luck it supposedly brings was already used up on her, since she found it. We will see.

THE WEEKEND IN BLACK AND WHITE--at the car wash

 

I've always said I am never bored with my camera, and here is a case in point.  Drove my very dirty car through the car wash and there you go.

I paid 600 dinars (about $6.00) for 'shampoo, wash, and blow dry'.  My lucky car can do that; I'm not brave enough to go to the hairdresser yet.

SKYWATCH--a sunset pig?

 A long time ago I posted this photo I took from my window of the pig on top of this building. I have since learned that the entire building is protected by the city, and it used to belong to a butcher...

I posted that on Facebook, and a young woman who lives just across from the pig and up the street for me took this photo of piggy at sunset.

And just what is a sunset pig?  Joni Mitchell sang these words, so have a look at this link

The Blues Brothers...plus three?

 I have to admit I have never watched The Blues Brothers, but I do know what they look like. I snapped this shot with my phone from across the street.

Who knows who they really were?

All because of a dog...

 

If you're wondering what the title has to do with doughnuts, I would not have been treated to this lovely pastry if it hadn't been for my pup. I was walking along a main street when my dog stopped dead, looked into a shop doorway, and wagged her tail excitedly. She had seen my neighbor who, unbeknownst to me, works there. Neighbor kindly treated me to a doughnut. And the rest is history, and so is the doughnut now, by the way..
