PICK ME! PICK ME!

That's what these cherries were screaming when I glimpsed them through a window while coming down the stairs in a building downtown. I was then on the second floor (that's third, for you folks in the US), and had no way of reaching for them, even if I had ventured into the garden behind the building. I could be like the fox in Aesop's fable and say they were probably too sour, but I'll bet they weren't...

What a sad story. I'm sure such beautiful cherries would be sweet as sugar!

Maybe you could get some at the market?

Or a very long pole with a knife so you cut the darn things down!

These cherrries looked beautiful. It's been a while since I've seen fruits grow in public spaces, although I always take some blackberries from one of the fences near my grandparents' farm.

Stevie has pictures of cherries on her blog today too! I'm going to have to buy some tomorrow for sure. In the meantime, figure out a way to get to your neighbor's tree - without injuring yourself. If they're sour they'll make a delicious pie.

Frustrating situation, no?

Splendid image, though. And you can just imagine how long these cherries will last, now. They'll always be fresh ... and just out of reach -:)

Beautiful picture! I'm sorry you could only look and not touch. I bet they're yummy.

The thought of the sweetness is usually better than the actual taste. Take the thought and bank it :::)))

I'm sure Eve was tempted with cherries not an apple.

I guess throwing rocks at the branch would be a BAD idea:)

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
