Fremont is the Center of the Universe

Fremont, a funky Seattle neighborhood, claims to be the center of the universe. If you're there and want to know just how far you are from a lot of other places (or people, in Rapunzel's case...she's on the Fremont Bridge...), just check out this sign.
Belgrade photos back on September 2nd...

You can't look at this photo without smiling! Or laughing out loud!

I don't see Chandler! lol but would love to go to Machu Picchu before it's too late.

What fun! I love these signposts (and am actually contemplating installing one in my Brooklyn apartment—Paris: 3,627 miles).

The Milky Way is 69 light years away? I'd love to know if there's any reasoning behind that.

You captured the newly painted signpost beautifully in that light. Wish we could add how far to Belgrade somewhere between the Paris and Milky Way Markers. You are missed!

Great picture of such a magnificent sign, full of color and humour!

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
