Prehistoric

Like many people, when I see a pelican (especially in flight), I am reminded of pterodactyls. These are amazing birds; I never tire of watching them, even when they're doing nothing. This fellow (or gal, for all I know), was one of at least 50 in a line on the rooftop of a fish restaurant in Avila, California.

They are big birds! There is a video on Youtube of one trying to eat a pigeon in a London Park!

To me you can see the direct link, no doubt about it to the dinosaur. The y really are very statuesque up there.

Wow --- great shot! Hey maybe this is what NYC needs to keep down the pigeon population.
