White hollyhock

It's still very warm here...warm enough for flowers to keep blooming. Near where I work I saw masses of yellow crocuses.... Here's a hollyhock for you, and a little ant that is still around to walk over it.

Beautiful shot. I love hollyhocks and for some odd reason can't see to grow them here. People say they grow on rubbish dumps, near old buildings, not sure. Anyway love your hollyhock, so delicate.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

  My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
