From left to right there are pickled hot peppers, tomato sauce, horseradish in various sizes, and figs and ajvar, a spread made of ground roasted red peppers, garlic, and eggplant. The garlic is marked 20 dinars (about 30 cents) a kilo (roughly two pounds.) NOTE: Oops. A goof on my part--the garlic is 20 dinars a piece, not a kilo. I didn't read the fine print.... Hi, Chuck! Actually, that's a Pentax lens on a Pentax camera on the magazine cover. I removed the name Pentax on the camera because it looked like I had another camera on my spread!
Also, I made a change in the price of garlic, whoops....

Wow Bibi, that header is a stunner. And so are the parsnips. I can't think how many years it is since I had a roast parsnip. I suppose they are available in France but I've never seen them or perhaps I've not noticed. My mouth is watering...
Thank you for sharing your marketplace specialties! I had never heard of much of what's on display and now I absolutely want to taste AJVAR!! What is it used for, a dip or in cooked preparations?
