ABC WEDNESDAY 'D' is for 'Double, dark, and ...desperate'

Finally a little color on my blog. The last two days were pretty black and white, and I guess I'm in the doldrums (another D) and desperate for a photo, since I haven't been shooting too much recently. Anyway, here's a candle for you, with its buddy reflected behind it.

Here's hoping for an end to the doldrums!

Today's image is very peaceful, soothing, calming...
Just what «Louis» needed today!

Sorry to hear you're down in the doldrums ... light does help, as does light-hearted humor. Perhaps I'll post a special laugh for you tomorrow ... maybe ...

Double dark and desperate. Doesn't sound good. But it always helps to light a candle in the darkness...a sign of hope ... winter will segue into spring and then summer...

Bibi - You've got to get out of the DeeDees... Beautiful image and lovely color. I thought it was a DOUBLE candle until I read that it was DOUBLE vision.
Thx for your visits while I've been away. We go to Mammoth at least 2x a year...Super Bowl weekend for skiing (except I need to get back in shape to do downhill again) and weekend after July 4th - sometimes twice in the summer. My son likes to go fly fishing with family friends so he's had a chance to stay up there for 10 days. Bishop is a cute little town & your friend's occupation sounds like a lot of fun. There are enough high end restaurants that want good wine.

Your doldrums may be from lack of sunlight, so it may be time to get out another piece of that delicious chocolate cake!
I know it doesn't make sense but I look for any excuse to eat chocolate.
Love your bright warm candles Bibi.

Yes, the winter weather is bleak, even here. Wet and cold, cold and wet. It's definitely not conducive to good blogging. Still, I like the color and the hopefulness of the candles. They just have a way of lifting spirits.

I think the doldrums are hitting a lot of us - we're more than ready for the winter to pass. This is lovely warm colour. :)

Could have been a C post - colorful couple of candles. Hope you get out of the doldrums - someone on ABCW (in the 80s) described that word, BTW.

Just beauty and simplicity, warmth and that vibrant red! Reds we see in the sky, red for Valentine's day, red tulips on my table.
The light of a candle is calming and mesmerizing.

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
