No smoking, PLEASE!!!
Yugoslavia (all of it) used to be ranked third in number of smokers in Europe. I'm not sure where Serbia stands, but there are still lots of people puffing away....but not in this photo. The 'smoke' is actually mist that is sprayed to cool off diners on this restaurant on the Danube. I took this photo while on a river cruise. I must say I did a double-take before I zoomed in on this scene. I thought it really was smoke...

PICKLED RED ONIONS
My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I. Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...

Could have fooled me. Another great drive by, or I guess this is a cruise by.
Looks like a great place to eat!
A fun photo. Thanks for the info. Luckily many people have quit smoking in Sweden, but it's still popular among young people.
This made me chuckle. Good capture, Bibi. (Actually, I was at an outdoor restaurant down in Virginia recently where they did the same thing—it was very refreshing!)
hee hee...
You could have fooled «Louis», too!

Nothing like a mister to cool you off on a hot day! Nice shot.
Oh please bring these to Birmingham. We need some relief from the heat!
c'est original, cela donne une atmosphère spéciale au restaurant. c'est un bon restaurant ?
I've seen outdoor heaters in restaurants, but spray mist to cool? That's different!
Yeah- it really does look like smoke- Thanks for the explanation otherwise you wouldn't catch me in that restaurant!!!
Dinner and a facial! What a concept.
In South Beach, FL along Ocean Drive the restaurants all do this .. otherwise no one would be able to sit outdoors .. nice shot! love the header!
Bibi, I can imagine that with the thatched roof the "smoke" would cause great alarm! I'm with Virginia, we need some of those misting machines here!
:) well seen!
Huffing and puffing like here with the monsoon. No need for a mist of any kind lol.
In Paris this would still be "puffers"! HA
