Out in the cold

A bejeweled hand holds a cigarette outside a business office in downtown Seattle. Unlike Belgrade, where for the moment office smokers must simply go outside, here in Seattle (and in the US?) you need to also be 25 feet away from the entrance and/or ventilation. I'm a non-smoker, so I say 'hurrah'.

Am in the US for several months for a family matter.

I love the way you catch the candid.

I've noticed you're in Seattle for your past couple of posts. My husband's family is up in that area. I hope your family matter is for fun, like expecting a grandchild. If not, best wishes!

Bibi, I love this kind of pictures. Also my mom used to have a ring very similar to that one and she was a smoker when young and someone took a picture similar to yours. You just brought so many memories.

It amazes me that smokers take the time to go outside to smoke .. I wonder how they get work done .. or how much they enjoy that cigarette when its uber cold/hot and/or wet

Love the photo. My goodness, 25 feet from the entrance - then you'd doubtless be near the entrance of another office building!

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
