Spiky mango....

The kumquats and plantain I recognized, but had to ask what these spiky fruits were...spiky mangoes, I was told.

I've seen them before but didn't know they were mangoes. Interesting.

Mangoes? The look like sea urchins on drugs. They might frighten me off.

Didn't know. Hope they are as tasty as the non-spikey version.

The spiky orange fruits are kiwanos, or horned melons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horned_melon

Heh. I guess those fruit really didn't want to be eaten by monkeys and local animals. Guess they didn't count on humans with gloves to harvest them.
