Impressions of Belgrade and Serbia and maybe photos from an in-country trip by a long-term ex-pat.

Waiting for a green light
Last Saturday's reflection was taken while stuck in traffic. This photo was taken while waiting for a green light....son-in-law was driving and I furtively 'shot' this man from the back seat.
In English, not Serbian? The signs here are worded almost exactly the same. There is controversy in some US cities about whether you should help such people. Some are truly down and out, but research indicates that many, if not most, are feeding a drug or alcohol habit. I've seen signs on bus shelters in Philadelphia urging the public not to help such people, that the city had plenty of resources. (This was pre-recession.) Tough call.
