It's hard to imagine what was once a place of fun becoming a concentration camp. What has become of it now?

The Old Belgrade Fairgrounds (there are of course now new ones in another location) are still home to Serbian refugees from the wars of the nineties over the territory of the former Yugoslavia. These persons, having nowhere to go, settled there and are still there. Part of the Fairgrounds is also a sort of informal art colony, but that's a reasonably small part. Recent movements by locals and European entities (Jewish organizations and others) have tried to get this former concentration camp officially recognized, but not much has been done.
