Watercolors in the sky is a perfect description of the lovely photo.
I thought it was six more weeks of winter, although I don't follow such things closely. As you have heard, there is little relief in sight for the eastern two-thirds of the US. I cannot remember a winter in STL with so many days of snow cover.
