Guard that barge!

Cold and lonely, but on duty. This Rottweiler stands guard on a barge on the Danube. From what I could see on the rest of the barge (not shown here), there doesn't seem to be much to stand watch over.

A lonely job, but somebody has to do it.

Nah, he's no guard, he's just one of the tenants. There are people living in some of these barges.

At least he's not chained to it. Great picture.

Hi, Viktor! You're right that some people do live on these barges, but I think this one is really uninhabited....by humans!

Well, he doesn't know how to gauge the value of what he guards, he just does his job. Dogs living in trailer parks seem just as happy as those in mansions. They just love their people.

I would certainly stay away with him as a guard!

He looks so proud and majestic. Poor barge has had better days.

They are great guards but i'm afraid of them. And ...Happy Birthday. I was ready to tag you but someone came before me.

I am hoping he has access to some kind of green from time to time.

Such a super image of life along the Danube. Good Dog Carl Travels the World may be the latest title in the GDC picture book series. . . ;^).

Perhaps not much to guard, but there is a fence of sorts and the water is probably cold. Smart dog -:)
